PURPOSE: To provide a synthetic resin thrust bearing which can maintain smooth steering force at the time of steering operation extending for a long period, without lowering the sliding property of a bearing, by preventing the penetration of dust, etc., into the sliding face from, especially, the periphery side of a bearing. CONSTITUTION: A synthetic resin thrust bearing 1 possesses a lower case 2, an upper case 3 laid on the lower case 2, a thrust bearing ring 41 arranged between the upper and lower cases 2 and 3, and a labyrinth seal 5 arranged on the inside periphery side and an elastic seal means 6 arranged on the outside periphery side, between the upper and lower cases 2 and 3. The lower case 2 is equipped with a base substance 12, and the upper case 3 is equipped with a base substance 16 and a cylindrical part 17 drooped downward integrally from the outside periphery side of the base substance 16, and the elastic seal means 6 is equipped with a cylindrical main body 21 and an elastic tip part 24, and the tip of the external face 27b of the elastic lip part 24 abuts elastically on the inner face 28 of the cylindrical part 17 of the upper case 3. |
