PURPOSE: To obtain a skin preparation for external use having excellent skin chapping-preventing and -improving effect and high safety. CONSTITUTION: This skin preparation for external use contains 0.0005-3wt.% adenosine triphosphate-disodium and 0.01-3wt.% tranexamic acid, and preferably, further 0.005-10wt.% extracted solution of carrot. The extracted solution of carrot is obtained by dry-solidifying an extracted ethanol solution of a plant of Panax schinseng belonging to family Araliaceae genus Acanthopanax and re-diluting with ethanol to 50wt.%. Other than the above essential components, other components used for a usual cosmetic or a skin preparation for external use such as a medicine is suitably added and prepared to a transparent solubilize system, a microemulsion system, an emulsifier system, powder system, an oil system, a gel system, an ointment system, water-oil two layers system, water-oil- powder three layers system, etc. The product is applied to a cosmetic such as a beauty lotion, cream, a lotion, a pack or a cosmetic for scalp, or a medicine such as a curing of wound or an ointment for resolution.
