PURPOSE: To quickly determine a specification satisfying a designed load by inputting data such as the length of a raised piece or claw part or the inclination of a hollow part inner wall, and performing a calculation according to a prescribed algorithm. CONSTITUTION: In designing a quick-release joint, a CPU 51 executes a processing program and an arithmetic sub-program stored in a ROM 52 by use of a RAM 53 when it reads various dimensional data, inner wall inclination dataα, and other kinetic data inputted from a keyboard 6 or an external memory device 10 through an input and output interface 54, thereby calculating the insertion load of a clamp. As the algorithm to be used in this case, a male joint piece, for example, is modeled, and an expression for guiding the insertion load of a female joint piece is provided by use of this model, and realized after the calculation result by this expression is confirmed to be well fitted to the measured value.
