PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plate cylinder not generating non-uniform motion having possibility bringing about contamination or other undesirable effect at the time of printing work and a rotary printing press equipped with this plate cylinder. SOLUTION: A plate cylinder 1 has a cylindrical main body having an outer peripheral surface 2 and a cylinder groove 6. The cylinder groove 6 is opened toward the outer peripheral surface 2 to laterally extend with respect to the peripheral direction of the plate cylinder 1, and a clamping member 8 is arranged in the cylinder groove and movable along the track in the peripheral direction in order to clamp, fix or detach a printing plate. |
