PURPOSE: To perform an installing work for an upper pipe removing operation in an easy and fast manner in a ceiling suspended type air conditioner by a method wherein a three-way T coupler for use in connecting a connecting refrigerant pipe with an outdoor device is connected in advance at an end part of the refrigerant pipe extending from a heat exchanger is installed within a casing. CONSTITUTION: Within a machine chamber 20 formed at a right side where an inner side of a easing 3 is partitioned by a partition plate 26 are arranged a motor 21 for driving a cross-flow fan 7 and T-shaped three-way T couplers 22, 23 for connecting connector refrigerant pipes 17, 18 for an outdoor device. The three-way T couplers 22, 23 have horizontal upper portions, they are mounted such that their legs are directed upward, and connection ports 22A, 23A formed at the upper left ends are connected in advance to the ends of the refrigerant pipes 25, 24 extending from a heat exchanger 8. Then, connection ports 22C, 23C formed at the upper right ends are directed rearwardly and the connection ports 22B, 22B formed at the upper ends of the legs are directed upwardly. |
