The machine is particularly for vulnerable material such as sacks of seed-potatoes. The support (2), positioning the sacks etc., and mounted on the manipulator (3) has a release mechanism (20-23), for which an operating handle is provided, together with controls for the manipulator. The support can have a frame enclosing a discharge opening formed by hinging flaps, which form the load platform in the shut position, from which they swing downwards. Controls for the flaps can be accommodated inside hollow members of the frame.
