PURPOSE:To provide a document processing apparatus without giving a troublesome feeling to an operator and being able to neglect a useless operation in a document treating apparatus with a character outputting means for outputting characters on a plurality of languages. CONSTITUTION:A document processing apparatus has an exchangeable character outputting means (3,) for outputting characters for a plurality of languages, a means for informing the result on checking spellings of input words, a means (4) for discriminating whether dictionaries (D1, D2,...) used for checking the spelling corresponding to the language of the character output from a character outputs means exists and a means (1) for controlling in such a way that the result on checking the spelling of the input words is not informed when it is discriminated that there exists no dictionary. |
