The support has a base (1) placed on the ground and having a first pivot axis (B) situated towards a front part of the base and a second pivot axis (C) parallel to the first and situated towards a rear part of the base. A panel support mast (2) has a pivot axis (A) at its base and a central pivot axis (D) spaced (d) from the foot of the mast. A link (3) is articulated at one end on the first articulation axis of the base and at its other end to the foot of the mast. A strut frame (4) is pivoted on one end on the second articulation axis of the base and at its other end to the foot of the mast. The sum of the lengths (l2) of the strut and the predetermined distance is equal to the sum of the length of the link and the distance between the axes of the base hinges.
