Exchange unit for filters in ducts carrying radioactively-contaminated air from power plants

A novel unit exchanges the filter for suspended matter based on the Petrijanov pattern, which is located in an effluent air channel of a nuclear power station. The unit includes an adapter frame (2), fitting gas tight to the sealing surface of a sectional frame (7) with surrounding test grooves. On the opposite side of the sectional frame (7), sealing surfaces conform in size with the filter cells (8), and there are similar test grooves for each filter cell. A pressure unit (3) pushes the installed filter cells gas tight against the sealing surfaces of the adapter frame (2). The gas tight top casing (4) includes a cover for the effluent air channel opening (25) through which filters are inserted or removed. This includes a change over collar (27) with surrounding double groove for safe bagging-out. A protective flap (28) covers the exchange opening (26). There is a tractive unit (5) to move the cells (8) to and from the installed location into an exchange position inside the housing (4) near the exchange opening (26). There is a pressure balancing filter (6) for the filter chamber (22) which may be shut off. This chamber extends on both sides of the filter and include the interior of the top casing (4).
