TEXTILE COMPOSITE MATERIAL

A textile composite material is used to stabilise, consolidate or reinforce the ground and earth layers. It may also be used as load-carrying draining or filtering layer and has at least one non-woven (1). The disadvantage of nonwovens and composite materials made of various plastic nonwovens lies in their limited load-carrying capacity. In order to create an economic textile composite material with at least one nonwoven having a high tear resistance in a main load direction and capable of absorbing high tensile forces without unduly stretching, exclusively parallel, straight, load-carrying plastic filament yarns (2) are knitted, sewed or Rachel knitted on the nonwoven (1).
