HV cable installation with corrosion protection monitoring circuit

The HV cable installation has a DC measuring circuit, for monitoring the corrosion protection of the metallic cable mantle, with a measuring access point (M) at the beginning of each cable section. A remote-controlled switch (SR,ST), connected in parallel with an overvoltage diverter ( R), is incorporated in the earth connection for the cable mantle at the beginning and/or end of each cable section and enclosed by a water-tight encapsulation housing (G). A control cable in parallel with the HV cable section is coupled to the control device for the switch, which pref. uses semiconductor elements.
