Furnace for flotation glass.. M6B. Comprises at least one duct through which a liquid medium can circulate and which runs inside the wall of the furnace from one specific location to another, the duct is incorporated direct in the refractory material of the furnace in question. This is achieved in that the blocks of refractory composing the walls incorporate holes which when aligned in fact form the duct. In operation conditioning liquids are made to circulate inside the duct and control the heat distribution in the flotation bath as a result of heat exchange between the liquid and the furnace walls. Circulation of the conditioning liquid is maintained by one of the pumps.
