Aqueous solution for contact lenses containing n- alkylbenzyldimethyl ammonium saccharinates, agents which regulate tone and pH. It may also contain other antibiotic agents, humidifying agents and/or surfactants, and comprises an effective method for clearing, cleaning and/or disinfecting all types of contact lenses, including hard contact lenses, gas permeable lenses and soft lenses.
