PURPOSE: To obtain a small-sized, inexpensive, newly constituted image forming device capable of obtaining a good image free from ink-running and suitable for forming both of a color image and a monochromatic image by using an electrophotographic image forming mechanism and an ink jet system recording unit jointly. CONSTITUTION: The electrophotographic image forming mechanism is provided with a photoreceptor drum 1 as an image carrier, a scanner 3 for emitting light for forming the latent image on the photoreceptor drum 1 and a pressure fixation device 5 for fixing toner as developer to a transfer body 7. The developer is fixed to the transfer body 7 by the device 5. The color image is formed on the transfer body 7 passing through the device 5 by the ink jet system recording unit 4, thereafter, the transfer body 7 is ejected to a paper ejection tray 6. The device is constituted so that both may show their strong points and also they may compensate for each other in such a way. Thus, the simplification and miniaturization of the device and the drastic reduction of the device cost can be accomplished. |
