<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device to transfer a toner image to a receiving material on a plate from an endless belt. SOLUTION: A toner image is formed on a part of a continuous traveling belt 7 passing through a surface of these drums by the drums 1, 2, 3 and 25, and a part up to the rear edge 44 from the tip edge 43 of the toner image is transferred to a stationary receiving material, and a loop of the belt 7 is enlarged, and the loop of the belt 7 is reduced in the rear of an image transfer station 9. The belt 7 is held in a tension condition during transfer of the image by moving tension rollers 18 and 19 on planes 31 and 32 forming an acute angle with a plane 10 where the receiving member is positioned, and the belt is set at a constant angleβto the plane 10 in the image transfer station.</p> |
