PURPOSE: To shorten the time until starting the transmission of succeeding data by tentatively stopping the transmission without disconnecting communication when continuous transmission time reaches an allowable value and recovering the transmission after the requested transmission stoppage time elapses. CONSTITUTION: In the case of performing data signal transmission, the time-out set value of a link monitoring timer 8 is set to the set value T2 for data communication (the set value T1 for voice communication > T2 >= time-out value of a transmission stoppage timer) stored in a link monitoring timer set value storage means 9, the transmission is tentatively stopped without performing a communication disconnecting processing and the link monitoring timer 8 is turned on (started) when a continuous transmission timer 10 reaches the allowable value. Control is performed so as to recover the transmission without performing a communication connecting processing again when the transmission is possible by a transmission slot or a transmission channel used for the previous transmission when the link monitoring timer 8 times out. Thus, the need of performing the communication disconnecting and communication re- connecting processings is eliminated and the time until starting the transmission of the succeeding data can be shortened. |
