The unit has a turbo-compressor (1) fed by the appropriate energy and a heated engine fluid. A compact combustion assembly (13) integrates all the mechanism necessary for its function. A hydraulic power pack (5) has feed connected to the fluid bearing (4) of the turbo-compressor. The air from the compressor (3) is bled off via a valve (7), through a starting turbine (16) connected to the electric motor (14) shaft and to the combustion chamber (17). Fuel oil is fed from a tank (21) via a pump (15) driven by the motor to the combustion chamber. The burnt fuel then used to drive a turbine (2) of the turbo-compressor unit.
