PURPOSE: To surely detect not only one disconnection but also a plurality of disconnections of a plurality of illuminating lights connected in parallel within an elevator car. CONSTITUTION: The current carried to illuminating lights is detected by a sensor 4, and the difference between the output of a first peak hold circuit 5 for peak- holding the detected current and the output of a power source voltage fluctuation extracting circuit 6 in which the power source voltage fluctuation is extracted from the detected current is calculated by a first subtracter 7. The difference between the output of the first subtracter 7 and the output of a second peak holding circuit 8 for peak-holding the detected current is calculated by a second subtracter 9, and not only one disconnection but also a plurality of disconnections of illuminating lights are surely detected from this output difference.
