PURPOSE: To provide a device which is compatible to cope with multimedia by disposing objective lenses and light sources corresponding to plural kinds of optical information recording respectively. CONSTITUTION: This device is provided with an objective lens 8 for a CD-ROM, an objective lens 9 for a DVD and two laser light sources corresponding to the objective lenses 8 and 9 respectively. Then, the device is also composed of an optical pickup 6 to be arranged so that optical axes of the objective lenses 8 and 9 are parallel to each other, and these optical axes of both objective lenses coincide with optical axes of laser beams emitted from laser light sources corresponding to both objective lenses and passed through the individual objective lenses 8 and 9. Consequently, the laser beam emitted from the laser light source corresponding to the CD-ROM or DVD is passed through its corresponding objective lens 8 or 9, and is converged on the disk, and the optical axis of the objective lens is moved in conformity with the radial direction of the disk by sliding the optical pickup 6. |
