A visual display unit, VDU, of a type used with computer systems is mounted on a carriage that sits on a frame (34) that can be moved sideways and can pivot about the vertical axis. The frame has a rectangular U-shaped section block (26) that has rollers (20) that run in channels formed in an extruded aluminium guide bar (14) that runs the length of the base. The block has a central pivot point (38) and locking elements that allow the angled position to be adjusted.
