The invention relates to an apparatus which can be used for launching, recovering or stowing a tender, the apparatus comprising a platform which is typically mounted towards the rear end of boat and which is further pivotal so as it can be used in selected positions to launch and/or recover a tender, and which also is for use as a walkway to facilitate access to and from the boat.
