ARTIFICIAL CRYSTALLINE LENS IMPLANTATION METHOD

FIELD: medicine; ophthalmology. SUBSTANCE: method involves preliminary suture fixation and implantation of the haptic part of a flexible intraocular lens in the ligament defect site prior to ablation of the crystalline lens. The intraocular lens is implanted and fixed by means of a suture applied in the rapture site before opening the front chamber. The method allows the intraocular lens to be implanted through the iris and through the pupil, and it makes possible to perform extra- and intrapupillary cryoextraction of the crystalline lens. EFFECT: more reliable fixation of intraocular lens; less frequent complications.
