In an electrical angle control system for a brushless DC motor having a relatively high counter electromotive voltage, the system includes: a rotor position detection unit mounted to the motor for detecting the rotor position and generating a position detection signal; an electrical angle control unit receiving the position detection signal and controlling period of the position detection signal in such a way that the electrical angle is advanced from the electrical angle of zero degrees during acceleration at the start of rotation to ensure an acceleration characteristic of the motor, and the electrical angle is returned to the electrical angle of zero degrees during normal rotation to ensure a small driving current and reduce the power consumption of the motor; a driving unit receiving position detection signals each having an electrical angle controlled by the electrical angle control unit and outputting the driving current to the motor. <IMAGE> |
