<p>The deuterium concentration of water is increased by treating with a stream of hydrogen, or a gaseous mixture containing hydrogen, which has been passed over deuterium. Similarly, an ammonia stream, passed over deuterium, is also used to cause isotope conversion in the water. The installation gives economic conversion of heavy water.</p> |
