A coated preparation prepared by coating drug particles having a disagreeable taste with a mixture comprising a hydrophobic substance with a melting point of 45 DEG to 90 DEG C. and a surfactant with a lower melting point and heat treating the coating layer at a temperature ranging from around the melting point of the surfactant up to the melting point of the hydrophobic substance to modify the nature of the coating layer. This preparation can release the drug quickly which sufficiently suppressing the disagreeable taste.
