PURPOSE: To obtain a composition as an aqueous coating material of one pack type capable of forming a cured coating film at ordinary temperature, having excellent smoothness, high hardness and high toughness, excellent in adhesivity, water resistance and oil resistance. CONSTITUTION: This resin composition for an aqueous coating material is obtained by blending (A) fine particles of a polymer which are obtained by emulsion polymerization, comprises a double layer structure of an inner shell having -40 to +80 deg.C glass transition temperature and an outer shell having a relatively low glass transition temperature and 5-150mg KOH/g acid value and containing a carboxyl group, its ester or a carbonyl group except an amide group and has 0.01-0.5μm average particle diameter, (B) an oxazolidine group- containing polymer containing at least two oxozolidine group in one molecule and (C) a hydrazine derivative containing at least two hydrazino groups in one molecule.
