PURPOSE: To form an image having high quality by uniformly and smoothly supplying toner without generating the residence of the toner. CONSTITUTION: In an aperture electrode body 1, a plurality of apertures 6 and control electrodes 4 are formed on an isolation sheet 2 and one end thereof is attached to a toner layer restriction blade 18. A part from the attaching section to at least the aperture is pressed against a toner carrier roller 14 along the roller surface so as to function as a holding member 17. The toner 16 held on the toner carrier roller as a thin and uniform toner layer by virtue of the toner layer restriction blade 18 is conveyed to the aperture by continuously receiving action from the holding member 17 such that the thickness of the toner layer is restricted to be constant As a result, it is possible to uniformly supply the toner by preventing the toner from temporarily remaining and from intermittently being supplied. |
