METHOD AND DEVICE FOR SEPARATING TIME-MULTIPLEXED OPTICAL PULSE STRING

摘要

PURPOSE: To easily separate a multiplexed optical pulse string in each channel by optically mixing a local optical pulse signal of which waveform is changed with a multiplexed optical pulse string and generating optical pulse strings having respectively different wavelengths in each channel by four-wave mixing action. CONSTITUTION: This time-multiplexed optical pulse string separating device is provided with a local optical pulse string generator 4 for generating a local optical pulse string of which wavelength is changed in each optical pulse, a photocoupler 4 for coupling the local optical pulse string with a multiplexed optical pulse string, a four-wave mixing optical fiber 2 for applying four-wave mixing action to the coupled local optical pulse string and multiplexed optical pulse string, and a demultiplexer 3 for separating and outputting only an optical pulse string with wavelength newly generated by the four-wave mixing action.
