PURPOSE: To obtain an image forming device which is capable of preventing the wasteful use of transfer paper by stopping the feeding transfer paper to a transferring part when it is judged that the information capacity of a toner image is less than prescribed amount. CONSTITUTION: This device is provided with a toner image forming part 36 forming a toner image by dots, a transferring part 38 transferring the toner image to transfer paper 26, an information capacity detection means 39 detecting the information capacity of the toner image to transferred to the whole surface of the transfer paper 26 from image information and a comparison means 39 comparing the information capacity of the toner image detected by this information capacity detection means 39 with prescribed amount. The device is provided with a feeding paper stopping means 41 stopping the feeding of transfer paper 26 to the transferring part 38 when it is judged that the information capacity of the toner image is less than prescribed amount by this comparison means 39. The number of dot of the toner image is counted by a counter part 39 and the number is compared with threshold. When the number of dot of the toner image is less than threshold, white paper copy can be prevented by stopping the feeding of transfer paper 26. |
