PURPOSE: To make it unnecessary to execute settlement in each customer at the exit of a store by completing settlement at the time of receiving an order from a customer. CONSTITUTION: Each customer owns an IC card or the like as a customer device 20. On the other hand, a waitress in a restaurant receives a customer's order by an order settling device 10. When a customer orders a dish, the waitress inputs the ordered contents from an input part 1 in the device 10. After completing the reception of all orders, a calculation part 3 calculates a total amount and a communication control part 5 transmits the calculated result to the device 20. A money-in-hand file is previously stored in a storage part 22 of the device 2 and the total amount of orders calculated by the calculating part 23 is compared with money in hand. When the money in hand is larger than the total amount, settlement is completed by subtracting the total amount from the money in hand. After the settlement, information indicating the end of the settlement is transmitted from the device 20 to the device 10. Thereby, the device 10 prints out a slip describing the contents of orders and the completion of settlement as a receipt. |
