PURPOSE: To safely and effectively control the travel of a motor car by preventing the instability at the time of traveling on a descent and accurately reading the oblique angle of the descent of a traveling road. CONSTITUTION: A motor driven vehicle alters the traveling speed by controlling the rotating speed of a motor 1, has oblique angle detecting means for detecting the oblique angle R of a traveling road surface, and lowers the acceleration rate a of the motor 1 in the case of accelerating or decelerating at the time of traveling on a descent as compared with that at the time of traveling on a flat ground. The vehicle alters the traveling speed by controlling the rotating speed of the motor 1 by a duty D. The current detecting means 2 of the motor 1, the traveling speed detecting means 3, motor temperature detecting means 4 and battery voltage detecting means 5 are provided, and the oblique angle R of the traveling road surface is calculated after the duty D at the time of traveling by using the current values IM, IR, the traveling speed S, the motor temperature T and the battery voltage V detected by using the means 2, 3, 4, 5 is corrected to a standard duty DS. |
