PURPOSE: To simulate the operations of MPUs of plural types by means of a single type of emulator IC. CONSTITUTION: The number of output terminals S1 to S12 of a segment driver 1 is larger than the number of segment output terminals of a microprocessor to be simulated. At the same time, the number of output terminals C1 to C8 of a common driver 2 is larger than the number of common output terminals of the microcomputer to be simulated. The 1st switches (a) to (l) are connected between the driver 1 and terminals S1 to S12, and the 2nd switches (m) to (u) are connected between the driver 2 and the terminals C1 to C8 respectively. Then a segment/common control circuit 4 controls the on/off operations of both 1st and 2nd switches in accordance with the numbers of both segment and common output terminals of the microprocessor. |
