PURPOSE: To print out an electronic mail timely and to give the mail to the user. CONSTITUTION: A printer control circuit 11 recognizes a destination of an electronic mail received by a network interface circuit 13 and controls a printer engine 12 in the case of an electronic mail addressed to a registered user to print out the content of the electronic mail. When the electronic mail is not an electronic mail addressed to a registered user and a transfer command to other printer or work station is in existence, the printer controller 11 transfers the electronic mail to the other printer or work station. When no transfer command is in existence, the electronic mail is stored in a hard disk 14. The user operates an operation panel 15 later to print out the electronic mail stored in the hard disk 14. |
