PURPOSE: To provide a bath device and a control method for a bath device in which a drain can be assuredly detected by recognizing a remaining water at a proper timing. CONSTITUTION: A bath device comprises a circulating pipeline for connecting a bath tub to a heat exchanger for a bath, a bath tub water level detecting means 38 provided in a part communicating with the circulating pipeline to detect the water level of the bath tub depending on water pressure and an automatic means 50 for supplying hot water on the basis of the hot water supply control data of water quantity (Q) and bath tub water level (P) of hot water from a hot water supply heat exchanger. Further, the bath device is provided with a timer 66a for beginning to count when the water of the bath tub is drained and reaches a first reference water level above a preset circulating fitting and a means 31 for recognizing the remaining water of the bath tub after a time set by the timer passes. |
