The antenna includes a waveguide assembly (GD1-GD4) which feeds a radiating slot network (FR). Entirely separate, but interspersed with the slot network, is a network of radiating element dipoles (DR) formed on a microstrip structure. Short circuit sections (PCC) are mounted across the waveguide. The four quadrants of the antenna are separately fed and the structure allows two orthogonal polarisation signals to be decoupled from each other.
