Angular radioelectric scrambling of tracking radar from aircraft

One target (A) lies in the principal lobe (10) of the tracking device (E). It analyses the signals and sends in real time the characteristics of the signal to a second target (B), comprising information giving an identification of the danger, the signal level received and the scrambling pattern and including the position in time and the received signal characteristics. The second target compares its received signal with those from the first target and determines whether it lies outside the principal lobe in which case it emits the signals itself to cover the echoes of the first target. The first target may stop transmission when it receives no signal and the roles may be reversed if the second target receives a stronger signal.
