A retaining device for an electronic apparatus comprising: a plurality of cases (1, 2) respectively containing individual component mechanisms of a small electronic apparatus; a magnet (60) disposed in a recess formed in a surface of a first case (1) among the plurality of cases (1, 2); and a magnetic member (62) provided on a second case (2) among the plurality of cases (1, 2). In this device, the magnet (60) attracts the magnetic member (62) to fix the respective positions of the first case (1) and the second case (2) relative to each other when the first case (1) and the second case (2) are set contiguously with the magnet (60) and the magnetic member (62) disposed opposite to each other.
