A passage (8) extends through a plug (7), turned by a handle (9, 10) in the housing (1, 2), and against which two sealing rings (17) bear. Each ring has a face bearing against the plug, and others (18-20) bearing in the radial and axial directions against inner and outer faces and an end face in a seat (12) in the housing. A notch (23) is formed in one ring at least at the side towards the plug, and extends from the face (21) bearing against the latter towards the end face in the housing. A similar notch (24) can be formed in the ring on the opposite side, extending from the end face (19) towards the face bearing against the plug. The end face portion (19') inside the second notch can taper towards the inside. The edge between the inner ring face and the end face can be radiused.
