<p>The needle is formed from cuttings, stampings, or mouldings and comprises an elongated body (13,14,15) and a hub (11) with an orifice (12) allowing attachment to the driving shaft of the clock. A part of the body (13,14) is bent upward at right angles to the plane of the clock face. The part of the needle body which is bent upward (13,14) may be shaped to represent figures, objects or symbols in order to decorate or inform. The needle may be obtained from sheet steel or from a range of plastic materials.</p> |
