摘要 FIELD: chemical industry. SUBSTANCE: new method of surface catalyzing provides for binding of catalytically active metal, that influences on adhesion of metal coating to substrate. The method does not use neither method of sensitization-activation nor method of catalyst-accelerator. To form metal coating by chemical method on surface of electrically non-conductive substance, that is substrate, treatment liquid, composition of which has chitosan or its derivative, is applied before application of catalyst and chemical reduction with aim to form hydrophilic film of coating on the surface. The hydrophilic film binds and fixes catalytically active metal, for example, palladium due to chemisorption caused by action of chitosan or its derivative. As a result of it at stage of chemical settling of metal the state is kept, in which on surface of substrate sufficient amount of active catalyst is present to provide uniform and effective formation of metal coating with strong adhesion of the coating to substrate. EFFECT: improved process of surface catalyzing.
