PURPOSE: To provide an elevator control device and a control method suppressing the vertical vibration of a car to improve a speed follow-up characteristic so as to shorten landing time, to heighten landing accuracy and to ensure a riding comfort. CONSTITUTION: A grade of disturbance acting upon an elevator is estimated by a disturbance estimator 8 from the target speed of a car and the actual speed of the car. An arithmetic element 15 subtracts driving force, detected by a driving force detecting device, from the output of a converter 7 for converting the output of a target car speed generator 5 into target driving force, so as to compute the fluctuating component of driving force. The arithmetic element 15 further subtracts the estimated disturbance from the fluctuating component of driving force, and the output is returned to the command of a controller 13 for a motor 3 through a gain device 12. Disturbance and vibration of the car in a high frequency area is thereby compensated by the return of the fluctuating component of driving force, and disturbance and the vibration of the car in a low frequency area is compensated by disturbance compensation by the disturbance estimator 8 so as to suppress the vertical vibration of the elevator. |
