PURPOSE: To obtain a sintered body which can change the equilibrium between ions existing in water, aqueous solutions and other liquids and give a positive effect on health, when it comes into contact with living body tissues. CONSTITUTION: This sintered body comprises ceramic components, an oxide of an element of the group 3B and/or an oxide of an element of the group 4B of the periodic table and an inorganic compound having pyroelectric and piezoelectric properties and is produced by sintering so that it may have a number of fine voids into which at least water molecules can permeate. Accordingly, this product can vary the pH of water and aqueous solutions and conduct weak electric current into a human body for giving a positive effects on body health. |
