<p>PURPOSE: To obtain a cross-linkable polyethylene resin composition having each specific MFR and density, high in fluidity, suitable for molded forms of complicated design, and useful for the reinforcing insulators at cable joints, by incorporating a polyethylene with a cross-linking agent, cross-linking auxiliary, antioxidant, etc. CONSTITUTION: This cross-linkable resin composition markedly improved in fluidity, capable of giving molded forms of complicated design and suitable for e.g. the reinforcing insulators at electric cable joints, is obtained by incorporating 100 pts.wt. of a polyethylene 15-50g/10min in MFR(melt flow rate) and 0.914-0.924g/cm<3> in density (e.g. high-pressure-produced low-density polyethylene) with 1.5-2.5 pts.wt. of a cross-linking agent (e.g. dicumyl peroxide), 0.2-3.0 pts.wt. of a cross-linking auxiliary (e.g. triallyl isocyanurate) and 0.10-2.0 pts.wt. of a hindered phenol-type antioxidant [e.g. 4,4'-thiobis(3-methyl-6-t-butylphenol)] followed by kneading using an open roll at 120 deg.C for 15min.</p> |
