MASTER BATCH FOR POLYPROPYLENE-BASED RESIN AND PRODUCTION OF WHITENING-RETARDANT POLYPROPYLENE-BASED RESIN

PURPOSE: To provide a method capable of producing a highly whitening-retardant polypropylene-based resin without being subjected to limitations involved in production site and feedstock charge into the relevant production machine, and to obtain a modifier enabling the production. CONSTITUTION: This polypropylene-based master batch composition comprises (A) 20-65wt.% of a polypropylene-based resin and (B) 80-35wt.% of an ethylene/α-olefin copolymer elastomer satisfying the requirements (a) to (d) described below. The objective whitening-retardant polypropylene-based resin is obtained by using this master batch. The requirements are: (a) the number of carbon atoms in theα-olefin is 4-20; (b) theα-olefin content of the elastomer is 65-95wt.%; (c) the density at 23 deg.C is <0.88 g/cm<3> ; and (d) no crystal melting peak is observed by differential scanning colorimetry.
