PURPOSE: To provide the title image receiving sheet capable of obtaining a hard copy near to a color photograph good in the fixing properties of a sublimable dye in a recording image, reduced in the fading of the image with the elapse of time by natural light and excellent in durability against abrasion and scratching. CONSTITUTION: In an image receiving sheet for thermal transfer recording wherein a dye receiving layer 3 receiving the sublimable dye transferred from a thermal transfer sheet by heating is provided on base paper 1, a cushion layer 2 is provided between the base paper 1 and the dye receiving layer 3 and a protective layer 4 formed from a compsn. obtained by mixing an ultraviolet absorber with methyl methacrylate, styrene acrylate, a cellulosic resin or a mixture thereof having a glass transition point of 100 deg.C or higher and having absorbancy of 1.5 or more at a wavelength of 360nm is provided on the dye receiving layer 3. |
