The signal lamp includes the shell (2) with a groove formed around at least part of its periphery. The groove supports an intermediate screen (12) that fits between the light source (5) and the outer cover (16) of the signal lamp. One edge (14) of the screen has a hook that engages a complementary lip (28) at the edge of the shell. The opposite edge of the screen clips (14) under the corresponding edge (15) of the shell. The edge of the screen is pressed against a seal (23) that fits in a U-section groove at the edge of the shell by the closure of the front cover of the lamp. The edge of the front cover has teeth (21,22) that engage the edges of the groove at regular intervals where there are complementary stops on the edge of the groove.
