<p>A method for slowing the setting rate of a magnesium phosphate cement comprising adding a suitable base to an uncured or partially cured aqueous mix of the magnesium phosphate cement in an amount sufficient to raise the pH and minimise MgO/Mg(OH)2 dissolution. Suitable magnesium phosphate cements include ammonium magnesium phosphate cements and potassium magnesium phosphate cements.</p> |
