Decentralised air conditioning system for industrial halls

The decentralised heating, ventilating and cooling system for industrial halls comprises a vertical air duct in which is mounted a parallel flow droplet separator (4). The droplet separator has a large number of parallel plates (5) which are corrugated in the flow direction and have edge gutters extending perpendicularly to the flow direction. The separator is inclined to the horizontal so that the edge gutters slope and flow the separated liquid. The edge gutters discharge at the lowest end of the separator into a side collecting tank (11) which is provided with thermal insulation (13). Towards the separator side the collecting tank is limited by lower (14) and upper (15) walls. The lower wall has slots in a horizontal web (14'), and the lower edges of the plates have corresponding slots (17). The plate slots prevent a return flow through capillary action and thus the passage of water droplets into the air flow.
