Cobalt catalyst for hydrogenation of nitrile and imine cpds.

摘要

Cobalt catalysts (I) are claimed, in which the active material contains 55-98 wt% Co, 0.2-15 wt% P, 0.2-15 wt% Mn and 0.05-5 wt% alkali metal, calcd. as oxide. The calcined catalyst is reduced in a stream of hydrogen at final temps. of 200-400 deg C and then surface-oxidised in a stream of air at final temps. of 20-60 deg C. Also claimed is a process for the hydrogenation of organic nitriles and/or imines at 60-150 deg C and 50-300 bar using (I) as catalyst.
