The support comprises a support plate (2) which is transferable from a trolley (1) to a table frame (4). There ares swivelling handles located at the ends of either the trolley or the support plate. The handles pivot about a transverse axis (12) which is vertically aligned to the longitudinal axis (11) of the support plate. The table frame has its own support plate (5). The support plate of the trolley can be put on the support plate of the table frame for storage.
